Suzi Morris, investment manager for Schnitzer Northwest, says the company expected the decision and has contingency plans, though she was not ready to release them . "What we really want to do is get the buildings built and leased and go on with life. The two proposed buildings (flanking the Van Vorst warehouse) will be slightly impacted, but this is not going to render the project infeasible. We will just have to come up with a solution that incorporates the warehouse in the best manner possible, she says."

Construction on the four office buildings is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2001, with completion dates slated for third quarter 2002, and first quarter 2003.
