The service begins in first quarter 2001. The value of the 10-year contract value was not disclosed.
Gables has 6,200 units in metro Atlanta. Apartment buildings here that will get new service are Briarcliff Gables, Dunwoody Gables, Gables Buckhead, Gables Cityscape, Gables Vinings, Gables Wood Arbor, Spalding Gables, Wildwood Gables and Gables Residential.
Besides Gables, the consortium members are AMLI Residential Properties Trust, AvalonBay Communities Inc., Camden Property Trust, Charles E. Smith Residential Realty Inc., Equity Residential Properties Trust, Berkshire Realty Holdings and Whitehall Street Real Estate Funds, a Goldman Sachs affiliate.
