The company has initiated a feasibility study. ISC owns and or operates 11 major motor sports facilities, including Daytona International Speedway, home of the Daytona 500.

"This is really an important step," John Bandimire, owner of Bandimire Speedway, a drag strip on the Western edge of Denver, tells GlobeSt.com. Bandimire plans to move his namesake speedway to WorldPark. "ISC is the best in the business," Bandimire says."They'll really put Denver on the map, if they come here."

WorldPark is being planned for multiple uses, including offices, retail and a North American Indian heritage center. "If we can get ISC to come to WorldPark, they literally will bring millions of dollars of business to the area," Fellows says.

Fellows' game plan is to have Aurora annex WorldPark, a strategy that will be decided today by voters. The annexation would require the citizenry to overturn a law adopted last year prohibiting racetracks from operating within city limits.
