ATLANTA-After six weeks of deliberation, the jury called the planned project necessary to the daily operations of the Norfolk Southern Railway. The facility will be in Clarkdale, GA, east of Atlanta.

After a contentious six-week trial, a jury called the planned project necessary to the daily operations of the railway company.

Opponents argued the venture could bring up to 1,125 trucks daily on nearby roads in the towns of Powder Springs, Austell and Lithia Springs in nearby Douglas County.
