RealPage, based here, will team both firms' existing and developing technology for facilities management applications, such as wireless work order and inspections systems and procurement solutions. The procurement package will be integrated into OneSite, RealPage's web-based multifamily property management system.

Steve Winn, RealPage chairman, says ChannelTECH will enable clients to receive "faster, more complete and more accurate inspections during the make-ready process." The applications partnering also reduces work-order paperwork by 20% plus enables tracking of supply inventory, submitting orders to suppliers and reduces the need for maverick purchasing.

Dean Schmidt, ChannelTECH's founder and president, is being named senior vice president of product management by RealPage. "RealPage is a perfect strategic fit for ChannelTECH," says Schmidt.

RealPage, which services nearly 20,000 apartment communities in the US is a combination of four firms: Rent Roll Inc., the largest developer of property management software and services; RealPage Communications Inc., a premier designer of custom web sites to the real estate industry; M/PF Research Inc., a leading provider of market research to the apartment housing industry; and ChannelTECH.
