Two Leases Totaling More Than 109,000 SF are Signed for Raia Properties

MAHWAH, NJ-Two new lease transactions have taken 109,400 sf of industrial space owned by Raia Properties, based here, off the market. In the first, Black Millwork Co., a home improvement products supplier, leased 37,400 sf at Raia’s 360 North Franklin Turnpike in Mahwah, expanding its existing 120,000-sf operations in nearby Allendale. The tenant was represented by Richard Van Houten Jr. of Trammell Crow Co.’s NJ offices, based in Chatham.

With that deal secured, Raia signed on Van Houten and Paul Gavin of TCC to lease the company’s 414 Alfred Ave. in Teaneck, and the duo promptly signed up Apex Foot Care for the entire 72,000-sf building. Apex is relocating to the facility, which was previously occupied by a call center operation, from South Hackensack. Because of its previous use, the facility offers T-1 and fiber-optic lines and other high-tech amenities.
