He says the school's purchase includes five lots, four of which are contiguous. One of two Fuller and Co. brokers who handled the transaction, Roemer says the four abutting acres will be used for ball fields. "They don't need the other acre, but we required them to purchase it as part of the deal.". That parcel, zoned for offices, will be sold.

According to Roemer, the school also plans to buy the former Cooper 7 theater located across from the ball field site.

Former movie houses represent some of the most difficult properties to sell as alternative uses. The school plans to retrofit the structure into classrooms, gymnasium and space for school activities.
