Wilson, Elser will relocate from its current offices at 925 Westchester Ave. where it occupies 21,000 sf. The firm started operations in the county by leasing approximately 4,000 sf in Westchester Corporate Park (part of the EastRidge portfolio) in 1991. When it outgrew those offices, it moved to its current location (also an EastRidge property) where the firm has been for the last eight years. As its requirements changed, EastRidge Properties helped expand the firm's leased space three times in that building.
"Here is a firm that began with 15 lawyers in its Westchester office and now has expanded space which will accommodate over 100 lawyers. We are delighted to be able to accommodate their expansion yet again," says Ellen Lynch, managing director for EastRidge Properties.
"Choosing Westchester over New York City as a place to expand was a matter of owner service and dollars and cents. The rental rates in Westchester are much more favorable than rates in New York City," says Thomas W. Wilson, chairman of the Executive Committee of Wilson, Elser.
EastRidge Properties, the owner of a 15-building portfolio of class A office buildings alongside I-287, reported the deal. It also announces that Joseph E. Seagram recently renewed its 58,000 sf lease at 3 Gannett for 10 years.
