HOUSTON-A start-up high-tech operation extends a welcome to Houston newcomers, launching a relocation and home services guide on the Internet. The guides provide data about the west, northwest, central and Clear Lake corridors.

HOUSTON-A publishing house and Internet site will team up to provide newcomers to Houston with relocation and home services information.

Post Oak Publishing’s relocation guides provide information on the west, northwest, central and Clear Lake corridors. GuideStreet.com lets consumers log on to find and communicate via e-mail with local home-maintenance professionals who are prescreened by the company and rated by people who have used their services. Consumers log onto www.guidestreet.com and enter their zip code for information about a specific area. GuideStreet – based in Bellaire, a small municipality encircled by Houston – is owned in part by Houston-based powerhouse Reliant Energy.
