Chief Executive of Heathman Group, Now North Pacific Management, Resigns

PORTLAND-Bruce Fery had directed the group's operations since 1997, overseeing the hotel, restaurant and commercial real estate assets of the Stevenson family of Bingen, Wash. The family recently sold its top asset, the downtown Heathman Hotel.

PORTLAND-Local hotel executive Bruce Fery has resigned as chief executive officer of The Heathman Group, which thanks to its sale of the Heathman Hotel last month is no longer the Heathman Group but rather North Pacific Management. Fery could not immediately be reached for comment on his leaving or his next career move. A new executive has not yet been hired.

Fery had directed the group’s operations since 1997, overseeing the hotel, restaurant and commercial real estate assets of the Stevenson family of Bingen, Wash. The downtown Heathman Hotel and restaurant was the prize property in that portfolio. It was sold for $25 million in September to Modesto, Calif.-based Rim Corp., which is using it to launch a more upscale division of its hotel empire. Rim has retained the hotel staff, including hotel manager Jeff Jacob.
