Codina Buys 600-Acre Free Zone Property for High-Tech Park

MIAMI-The new facility, Beacon CyberPort, has 750,000 sf of existing warehouse, showroom and office and will have 200,000 sf of new construction. The price of the property was not disclosed.

MIAMI-Codina Group Inc. is the new owner of the six-acre, 750,000-sf Miami Free Zone facility, a landmark property near Miami International Airport. Miami Free Zone Corp. sold the asset for an undisclosed price.

Codina plans to add another 200,000 sf and convert the property to a high-tech business park called Beacon CyberPort. The dollar amount of the planned renovations is undetermined. The tenant base is expected to comprise importers/ exporters to Latin America and telecommunications firms.
