Gross Named This Year,s Exemplary Leader by Anderson School

NEWPORT BEACH, CA-William Gross, founder, managing director and chief investment officer of PIMCO, will be honored by his alma mater, UCLA's Anderson Graduate School of Management Tuesday. Gross is this year's recipient of the Exemplary Leadership in Management award.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA-William Gross, founder, managing director and chief investment officer of Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO), will receive the Exemplary Leadership in Management award from UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management on Tuesday.

Gross, an alumnus of the Anderson School, will deliver the keynote speech to 400 business leaders, students and alumni at the awards dinner, will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills at 6 p.m.

Dubbed the “Baron of Bond” by Barron’s magazine, Gross is considered to be the best bond fund manager in the country and the most influential authority on the bond market. He manages PIMCO’s Total Return Fund, the largest bond fund in the world with more than $35 billion in assets.
