"A number of tenants were looking," Charles Batchelder, senior vice president of R.M. Bradley & Co., Inc., told Globest.com. "But they liked Navic because it's not a dotcom and it actually has a product." R.M. Bradley represented Navic Systems in the transaction. The company is subleasing from Allaire Corp., which was represented by Meredith & Grew.

The renovations of Riverside Center, including wiring for high-tech companies, were completed two months ago. Navic, the fourth subtenant in the building, is paying $40 per sf in a space that was built out for the company. According to Batchelder, Navic liked Riverside Center's close proximity to the Mass Pike, Route 128 and the accessibility to the T (MBTA).

Navic Systems provides customized digital content to Internet appliances such as set-top boxes and web-connected telephone terminals and tables.
