In Manhattan, Wayport is prepping to install IT service at the 370-room Four Seasons New York, located at 57 E. 57th. The firm will retrofit the rooms and seven conference areas for high-speed access. Wayport holds a global contract with the Fours Seasons chain in addition to a pact for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and the Sonesta Hotels & Resorts. Fours Seasons properties in Austin, Las Vegas and Philadelphia already have been outfitted by the four-year-old IT company.

Bruce Rudy of Great Britain will head up Wayport Europe. He has 25 years of IT industry experience and previously served as vice president of network acquisition for GTS Network and had been a board member of its pan-European fiber-optic network, Herme Europe Railtel.

"My goal is to build upon the success Wayport has achieved in the United States and expand the company's footprint into Europe," says Rudy. "Wayport is the right service at the right time in the right place."
