Fabric Maker to Open Facility in Mexico

NORTH KANSAS CITY, MO - Plant will open in first quarter of 2001.

NORTH KANSAS CITY, MO – Fabri-Quilt Inc., headquartered in North Kansas City, is preparing to open a factory in Queretaro, Mexico. The 40,000 sf plant is located about 120 miles north of Mexico City and will produce fabric to be finished at its two largest customers’ facilities.

The plant is expected to open toward the end of the first quarter next year. The plant will employ about 25 workers who will produce about 50,000 linear yards of fabric each week. The North Kansas City plant produces about 200,000 linear yards per week.
