DataCentersNow to Jazz Up Building for Tech Users

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL-DataCentersNow LLC, a division of Rockville, MD-based BECO Management Inc., has purchased a 110,000-sf office/warehouse facility at 2355 Wood Dale Rd., Elk Grove Village, a suburb northwest of Chicago in close proximity to O’Hare International Airport. The parent company of the buyer is one of the largest privately held commercial real estate acquisition, development and management companies in the Washington, DC/Baltimore area.

DataCentersNow specializes in speculative, state-of-the-art “CyberFortresses” designed with the special requirements needed by telecommunications and Internet-related tenants. Its current portfolio includes about 500,000 sf in the Washington, DC market. This acquisition represents the firm’s entry into the Chicago market. According to Chris Epstein, president of DataCentersNow, “Chicago is the only major market in the country without hosting facilities at the airport.” Therefore, the firm feels the O’Hare market is ripe for this type of development.
