The plan calls for construction of a 15,000-sf store. The parcel was excess property obtained by the DDA through the acquisition process of Maple Road right-of-way. The property is owned by the DDA, partnering with the City of Walled Lake, who controls zoning and planning approval.
A total of four developers submitted five proposals for consideration, which were reviewed by a committee of DDA and City Council members, as well as City staff. A purchase agreement will be prepared by the city attorney prior to final approval.
