AvidXchange Adds Wireless to Aid Bidders

CHARLOTTE-Locally-based AvidXchange is adding a secure wireless feature to its existing menu of e-procurement matching services for property managers, service providers and materials suppliers. The company is targeting property owners and their service contractors who are shut out from bidding on on-line-posted jobs when they are away from their offices most of the day. Janitorial vendors, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning contractors and landscape providers are among the potential wireless users.

“Without access to computers, participation in on-line competitive bidding for service contracts has been impossible until now,” says AvidXchange CEO Mike Praeger in a prepared statement. The wireless component can be accessed in the AvidXchange program through the Nextel, Sprint and Verizon Wireless networks. AvidXchange uses Clarus Corp.’s ClarusAuctions software for its programs.
