The 10-year-old firm, headed by Robert A. Walpert, acquired 25 retail centers valued at $70 million or $2.8 million per property in 1999. The developer focuses its acquisition program on neighborhood and community assets. Walpert's four million-sf portfolio in nine states is valued at $200 million.
