Telecom One Gets New Tenant

CHICAGO - Facility attracts variety of tenants/providers due to proximity to CBD.

CHICAGO – Switch & Data Facilities Co. leased 33,000 sf of the 210,000 sf telecommunications facility known as Telecom One, 1001 S. Clinton St., south of Chicago’s Central Business District.

Telecom One is in a property formerly known as the Chernin’s Shoes warehouse. It was rehabbed into a telecommunications facility. The facility’s 115,000-sf first floor has 12’4″ ceilings and slab floors to withstand heavy floor loads. The 90,000 sf second floor has 14′ ceilings and a floor load of 150 lbs. per sf.

MFN, Level 3, Ameritech, Western Union, MCI WorldCom and Qwest all will offer fiber options for the building. Power in the property is expandable up to 150 watts per usable sf.
