With the completion of its exchange offer for Fort James and the filing of a merger agreement, Georgia-Pacific will begin operating and integrating the tissue products firm immediately under the Georgia-Pacific name. Product brands are Soft 'N Gentle, Angel Soft, Sparkle, Coronet, Mardi Gras, So-Dri, Green Forest, Vanity Fair and Dixie. Their combined revenue last year was $24.8 billion from a global work force of 85,000.
As previously announced, Georgia-Pacific is separating its timberlands operations and divesting selected commodities and non-strategic businesses.
