250,000-SF Under Development for Blue Shield

EL DORADO HILLS, CA-Dallas, TX-based Wilcox Development Services has broken ground on a four-building developmeny here - 30 miles outside Sacramento - that will be occupied by Blue Shield of California.

EL DORADO HILLS, CA-Wilcox Development Services announced this week that it has broken ground here on a 250,000-sf, four-building customer service facility that will be utilized by Blue Shield of California. The complex will allow Blue Shield to consolidate its Folsom, CA operations. The 30-acre project is being designed by The Sacramento-based LPA architecture firm. It is slated for completion by August 2001. DPR construction is the general contractor.

“This is a three phase development for Blue Shield,” says Terry Lowrey, senior vice president of Wilcox Development Services. “Building in the foothills and granite soils of this area of California is very different from building in the Dallas area.”
