Strio Co., a locally-based wireless solutions group, will design, install and manage Bluetooth in a commercial, multi-floor building and provide applications for use inside the brick and mortar environment.

The business incubator provides a comprehensive, holistic approach to helping small businesses grow by supplying advice, loans, and support, as well as ongoing training and office programs. Approximately 40 businesses will benefit from Strio's technology, including legal, architecture and emerging technology firms, the company says.

Strio will provide private-labeled applications and services for businesses in the $2.9 trillion retail sector. These applications will operate on Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as laptops, PDAs and mobile phones. The applications aim to create wireless communities in brick and mortar environments, enabling retailers to better understand their consumers' behavior and increase consumer foot traffic.
