Long will oversee daily operations, customer and supplier relations, distribution, logistics and infrastructure. Long had joined SiteStuff in April. He had been global director of supply-chain operations for Ernst & Young LLP.
CEO Michael Stewart plans to shift his focus to new opportunities being generated by a growing international customer base. Stewart credits Long with developing the firm's operational strategy to its present status, which includes partnerships with CB Richard Ellis, Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. and Trammell Crow Co.
Long says SiteStuff's immediate goals will be to automate workflow, add inventory and accounting control and integrate with customers' back-end accounting systems.Since June, SiteStuff has amassed more than 2.2 billion sf of property through alliances as an e-procurement solutions provider.
