The USAA Business Insurance Program, underwritten by Hartford, includes business income coverage to keep a company operating if a loss shuts it down, equipment breakdown coverage to pay for damaged equipment, employment practices liability insurance, commercial auto and workers' compensation. Almost 400,000 of USAA's 4.3 million members are small business owners. The joint endeavor allows USAA to sell and market the policies while Hartford underwrites the policies and processes the claims.
