The donation was given by Classic Residence by Hyatt officials to school officials and representatives of the Yonkers Industrial Development Agency at a recent ceremony held at the new senior housing facility on Riverdale Ave. here.

The money was the first installment in a total of $1.5 million that the city's five public high schools will receive from Hyatt over the next 14 years for scholarships for graduating seniors. The funds are being given to the schools through the Yonkers Industrial Development Agency.
