His company was recognized for its development of two million sf of high-tech office and data centers during the past year and its service to the community. Holder was honored for his extensive work in the community and his efforts in bringing the 1996 Olympic Games to Atlanta. Holder Construction is a sister company.

McDonald Development took top honors as the industrial development firm of the year.

The Carter/Mathis award is named for two late real estate leaders, Frank Carter, who formed Carter & Associates, and Harvey Mathis, of Taylor & Mathis. The honor is given to individuals who make significant contributions to the community during a specific year or throughout their life.
