"It's the biggest project (of its kind) in the Vail Valley,"' Palmos boasts to GlobeSt.com.He had sold all of the Chapel Square condos three years ago, for a price ranging from $280,000 to $450,000. "If they were on the market today, they would cost at least 30% more," Palmos says. "This is a very European-styled project." The project also includes 100,000 sf of retail space and 25,000 sf of office space.

Chapel Square includes arched pedestrian walkways and a large tower. Oz Architecture of Boulder has designed the project.

To celebrate the opening, Palmos is donating a 70-foot Christmas tree to the town of Avon. "It's the largest tree of its kind, except for the Rockefeller Center tree in New York City," Palmos says.
