CRESA Partners' national affiliate organization, CRESA Inc., recently formed an alliance with Weatherall's global group, Weatherall International. Following this successful partnering, the two individual companies have created here what they are terming a "merger/co-locating" agreement. CRESA's newly expanded corporate headquarters and New York office, formerly at 245 Park Ave., will mingle with Weatherall's New York office, formerly at 570 Lexington Ave.
This deal leaves the availabilities listed by Chrysler Building owners, Tishman Speyer Properties, as the entire 62nd floor, the entire 57th floor, parts of the 51st floor, part of the 41st floor, the entire 31st floor, part of the 38th floor, the rebuilt 9,876 sf space on the 34th floor and the pre-built 11,760 sf on the 29th floor. The rental rate for the 62nd floor is $90 per sf and it's $73 per sf on the 31st floor. While no one from CRESA or Weatherall chose to disclose a lease price for the deal, on the 47th floor the rates could be about $82 per sf, for a total of $328,000 a year.
CRESA recently expanded, hiring three people from the Atlas Organization. Marcus Rayner, formerly a New York principal for Weatherall, will lead the new office. Rayner has announced that the company plans to hire four more brokers/consultants and a project manager early next year. Both companies focus on corporate space-user representation, specializing in start-to-finish services from strategic planning to project management, according to Rayner.
