SAN JOSE, CA-Santa Clara Valley Medical Center says it will develop a 230,000-sf facility on its existing campus here. The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors recently approved the sale of bonds to finance construction. The $94 million facility is scheduled to open by 2005.

The new facility is slated for the corner of South Bascom and Moorpark Avenues, on the existing VMC campus. It will be used in part to consolidate outpatient operations located in four separate San Jose locations. Additionally, the VMC is planning a brand new outpatient facility at Tully and Center Roads. The $21-million, 50,000-sf facility is slated for completion in 2003.
