Wayport also provides wireless Internet access at Austin-Bergstrom International and Dallas/Fort Worth International airports. Travelers using Wayport's Portable Internet Access service can access the Internet in the airport and connect with company networks, email and the Web using their laptop PC and wireless network card.
The company had launched the Seattle airport service mid-week with promotional offers and demonstrations. The event had been sponsored by Xircom, Cisco and Toshiba. Wayport also is outfitting hotels in select areas with high-speed Internet access. The company has contracts in place with the Four Seasons chain, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Sonesta Hotels & Resorts. Four Seasons properties in Austin, New York City, Las Vegas and Philadelphia are already equipped for access.
