Netclerk Debuts Online Permit Processing System

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO-Locally-based Netclerk Inc. is rounding out its line of Web-based permit submission and processing products this week with the introduction of a web-based permit processing system for use by city governments. CityCentral, as its called, allows cities to review, approve and manage building permit applications via the Internet. The product is meant to complement NetClerk’s core application, PermitCentral, which gives contractors and building professionals a centralized online system to access, complete and submit all their building permit applications.

NetClerk is a year-old, privately-held company with venture funding from Granite Ventures, Adobe Ventures, Integral Capital Partners, Wheatley Partners, Osprey Ventures and Angel Investors LP. CityCentral offers cities a secure system to view submitted permit applications in real-time; the ability to confirm contractor licenses, city business licenses and proof of workers’ compensation; the tools to approve, reject and track permit applications; and the ability to deliver approved permits back to contractors.
