The two sites under consideration are: one at Palm Avenue and Interstate 680, and one at the Pacific Commons site in south Fremont near Interstate 880 and Auto Mall Parkway. The city's recreation commission last month voted to approve the field. One park-and-recreation official last week called cricket a "land-intensive request." Officials are also considering a dirt-bike area and bocce courts in addition to the cricket field.
