The 612,000-sf park, located at the intersection of the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and Nursery Rd., should be finished in five years, Witt says. The first building, an 80,000 sf industrial building projected for completion in June, will lease for $9 per sf shell industrial gross.
When completed, the park will have 12 buildings of unified architecture arranged in a campus-like setting. This is MIE's sixth such development in the BWI vicinity, and the 33rd in the Baltimore area. The business park will bring MIE's portfolio to two million sf in the BWI area.
MIE, founded in 1971, has developed roughly 8.5 million sf in the Baltimore area. The company also has projects in Colorado and Wisconsin. The company specializes in flex space to meet the growing demands of high technology companies.
