The Great Colorado Marketplace is slated to open in late summer 2001.Ft. Collins-based Timberline Development Group is developing the retail outlet, which includes 400 permanent indoor booths, 250 outdoor spaces, food court and family entertainment venue that changes each weekend. The marketplace is expected to draw specialty vendors for one-of-a-kind jewelry, art, handmade furniture, antiques and local crafts, says Timberline's Jeff Donaldson. Among its accolades, Timberline has just completed a loft project and a retail project in Ft. Collins.

"Nothing like the Marketplace exists in Colorado," Donaldson told GlobeSt.com. "'We've studied data on shopping habits and talked with literally hundreds of shoppers and vendors at weekend craft and art shows, fairs and other small-vendor venues." He expects to draw shoppers from Wyoming, Nebraska and all of Colorado.
