Tweeter, a division of THEG USA LP, is taking 10,337 sf at Wood Ridge Plaza Shopping Center in Conroe, north of Houston, from Amerishop Woodlands LP as part of an aggressive expansion plan. "We've done three deals this year for Tweeter," Ed Page of Boyd Page told GlobeSt.com. "One was on the Katy Freeway, one block west of Memorial City Mall, and the other was diagonally across the freeway from First Colony Mall in Sugar Land. We've got two more trade areas identified and trying to find the locations."

Tweeter's strategy, Page says, is to buy up an operating entity in a market, reorganize it and expand from that base. "They always seem to achieve an immediate dramatic increase in sales." THEG USA also owns the Home Entertainment Inc. chain.

MMAX Inc., is leasing 3,044 sf in Woodway Village for a new Soho upscale fashion store, from Woodway Village LP. MMAX operates 14 stores in Houston, Atlanta, New Orleans and Dallas under storefront names including Soho, Dolce & Gabbana, Max Mara, Sergio Rossi, Versace and Versace Jeans Couture/Versus in Houston's Galleria.
