The completion of Brocade's building's in late 2001 will conclude the first phase of a massive mixed-use project that includes 1.1 million sf of office space, more than 300 residential units, retail space and a one-acre park. Approximately 25% of Spieker's estimated 40-million-sf portfolio is located in Silicon Valley. And more is going up close by. Up the Peninsula in Redwood Shores, Spieker is under construction on the Towers at Shores Center, a two-building, 340,000-sf office development. The $113-million project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2001. The New York-based law firm, Weil, Gotshal & Manges, has leased 101,000 square feet for a 15-year term.
