The 11-acre parcel that just went on the market, however, is across one of the city's unspoken demarcation lines--in this case, Northside Drive. As in other areas of Atlanta, development can be slow to cross those lines.

The sellers--three private individuals--have retained Insignia/ESG to market the property, which contains five industrial buildings totaling 172,500 sf. The owners have not set a price on the tract, but expect potential investors/buyers essentially to establish the cost. The owners will accept the best offer, not unlike an absolute auction process.

Across Northside Drive is the expanding Georgia World Congress Center. Near the tract is Northyards, a 250,000-sf loft office and telecommunications project currently being leased, and Georgia Tech's new project at Northside Drive.
