According to reports, Opus is negotiating with supermarket, drugstore and several major retail chains as prospective tenants in the 250,000-sf complex, to be known as Opus Crossing. Existing businesses on the property, including a restaurant, hotel, Evergreen Truck Stop and Flying J Travel Plaza, would need to be demolished to make way for the project.
An Opus spokesperson was not immediately available for comment, but the company may have to buy out some leases to make it happen. When asked about plans for relocation, a source at the privately-owned Flying J tells GlobeSt. "We have every intention of seeing out our lease here, which has another three years."
