MENLO PARK, CA-Spieker Properties Inc. will pay common shareholders as of Dec. 29 a per-share dividend of 70 cents on Feb. 2, 2001. The locally-based company also declared dividends for its B, C and E series of Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock. Those per-share dividends were 59 cents, 49 cents and 50 cents, respectively. Series B and E shareholders will be paid on Dec. 29, and series C shareholders will be paid on Jan. 31.

Spieker Properties owns and operates approximately 40 million square feet of commercial real estate in California and the Pacific Northwest. The company’s share price stood at $53.43 at the close of markets Wednesday, off 25 cents from the previous day’s close. The company’s 52-week high-low is $32.25-$59.12. The high came in the middle of September; the low came in the middle of December 1999.
