The privately held MetroNational's holdings include Memorial City Mall, Memorial City Hospital and several Terrace senior living communities.

A flurry of recent transactions has sealed two sizable industrial leases while the city is being ticketed for a new brokerage office. Charles Schwab & Co. is leasing 6,448 sf for a new Houston office in the Highlands Insurance Building at 10370 Richmond from Alder Properties Associates LP. The industrial-warehouse pacts call for Interglobal Plastics to take 31,000 sf at 8451 Market from building owner, Dinyari-Greenburg Investments, and Omni Cable to occupy 14,650 sf at 4525 Airline Dr. from Boyd Page & Associates. Meanwhile, Continental Poly Bags will undertake construction of a 63,600-sf manufacturing and warehouse facility in the Sugar Land Business Park at Industrial Boulevard and Jess Pirtle on land purchased from Sugarland Properties.

In another transaction, Houston-based Patrinely Group, a national development company, has purchased the Cornerstone Business Park in Plantation, FL in a joint venture with the AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust. The seller is Talcott Realty I LP of Hartford, CT.
