Denver-based SafeRent Inc. is sending a "party in a box" to the complex, located at 1601 Royal Crest Dr., after a new tenant's application has marked the risk management service's 500,000th online transaction. Canyon Oaks' staff uses SafeRent's application screening service to search a prospective tenant's credit history, rental history over the Internet. SafeRent offers online credit and risk management solutions and services to the multifamily housing industry. The two-year-old company processes 55,000 transactions per month.

Canyon Oaks is owned by AIMCO, a REIT that also headquarters in Denver. AIMCO, through its subsidiaries, operates 1,740 properties, including approximately 330,000 apartment units, and serves approximately one million residents.
