Kimball Wasick, president of Matlow-Kennedy, will become a senior director at C&W. He will be joined by 14 brokers headed by Robert Alperin, who has been involved in more than 1,000 lease/sales transactions over the past 21 years.

Joseph Vargas, C&W managing director, says that, "Building upon our strong position in the market and seeking additional strategic opportunities are two very important corporate initiatives. Acquiring Matlow-Kennedy, one of the most respected and innovating real estate brokerage boutiques in Southern California, addresses both mandates spectacularly."

The company intends to continue seeking acquisitions in major markets, according to Bruce Mosler, president of US operations.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
