UMUC will be located in the same building with Prince George's Community College, which recently opened a new 14,000 sf degree center offering more than 60 credit and 25 noncredit courses.

In Prince George's Metro Building 3, located at 6525 Belcrest Rd., Prince George's Metro Center has partnered with the Prince George's County Economic Development Corporation and the University of Maryland Technical Advancement Program to sponsor the Technology Growth Center. This center offers affordable office space for technology companies. TGC companies have access to the University of UMUC is a degree-granting institution within the University of Maryland system, serving more than 70,000 adult part-time students worldwide, including some 40,000 students who attend classes through the Internet.

Maryland's faculty, students, libraries, laboratories, and equipment, and can obtain business assistance through the EDC. Since TGC opened in February. Eleven companies have leased space.
