Arcturus Applied Genomics Inc. signed the lease for 11,448 sf with Starr-Essex Carlsbad LLC. The lease in the building, at 2715 Loker Avenue West, is valued at $758,954.
Matt Strockis of CB Richard Ellis' Carlsbad office represented Arcturus Applied Genomics in the transaction. Daniel Knoke and Dave Pinnegar of Colliers International represented the landlord, Starr-Essex Carlsbad, LLC in the transaction.
Biotech firms have taken a shine to the Carlsbad area, where they are finding a more abundant supply of office space at less expensive prices than in submarkets directly south. In October, WB Technologies, a firm specializing in antibody research, leased 5,300 sf in the nearby Palomar Crest Corporate Center.
