Kampco Foods LLC will develop 15 franchise Johnny Carino's in Oklahoma and Kansas and Montagna Group will launch five in Montana. Kampco's first location will be in Oklahoma City and Montagna's in its home base of Bozeman, MT.
The pacts are part of an aggressive rollout calling for 128 new Johnny Carino's restaurants in 10 states and the Middle East in the next five to seven years. This week, a new Johnny Carino's has opened in Beaumont, TX and another in Greeley, CO. In four days, a franchise Johnny Carino's will be up and running in Midland, TX.
The Austin-based company operates and franchises 32 eateries. In addition to Johnny Carino's Country Italian, the other lineups are Kona Ranch Steakhouse, Gumbo's Louisiana Style Cafe and The Brown Bar. Fired Up, founded in Austin in 1997, has restaurants in Texas, Arkansas, Idaho, Oklahoma, Colorado and Kuwait.
