Vicorp has reported net income of $3.54 million, or 52 cents per share, in comparison to $8.8 million, or 99 cents per diluted share, for the same period a year ago. However, its fourth-quarter revenue has increased 3% to $112.67 million, up from $109.4 million for the same period a year ago. Sales at restaurants that were open at least a year have increased 1.2% in the quarter and 1.8% for the year.
Vicorp operates and franchises about 371 mid-scale family restaurants. The company currently has two Bakers Square restaurants under construction in the Chicago market and plans to build two more units in the Midwest during 2001.
