The B-52 Billiards restaurants and pool halls will be opening in a two-story building at 1920 Market St. Austin-based Cocktail Concepts has paid $2.6 million for the structure, which formerly housed Bella Ristorante restaurant. The Bell Ristorante has moved about a block away.
The B-52 is a 1940s industrial-theme restaurant that includes a World War II KC-97 bomber, encased by a bar. The restaurant's second floor features Tomorrow Land, an area that takes its cue from the Jetsons TV show. That section also boasts a party room, called the Bombshell, which recreates the glamour of the 1940s.
