Cowart Forms Two New Firms for Commercial and Residential

ATLANTA-Veteran developer Jim Cowart is partnering with longtime associate George C. Berkow in Cowart Berkow, a commercial-focused company. Another entity, Jim Cowart Residential will develop single-family suburban subdivisions under the management of John Schiavone, another Cowart colleague of long standing.

ATLANTA-After 42 years in the local development arena, Jim Cowart continues to seek new niches. He has formed two new companies, Cowart Berkow and Jim Cowart Residential with longtime associates George C. Berkow and John Schiavone.

Cowart Berkow will handle commercial projects. Jim Cowart Residential will develop single-family suburban subdivisions. Schiavone will manage the residential side; Berkow, the commercial end. The original company, Jim Cowart Inc. will manage the firm’s current assets.
