Turner Hires Criminal Justice VP

NEW YORK CITY-After 25 years working on building prisons, Mary K. McHatton joins the construction company to help it develop proposals on criminal justice projects.

NEW YORK CITY-Mary K. McHatton has joined Turner Construction Co., based here, as vice president, criminal justice, following a 25-year career with the Indiana Department of Corrections. Until recently, she served as project manager for new prison construction where her responsibilities included the pre-design planning, and managing of new prison construction. She had final authority on all aspects of design and construction related to security.Her duties at Turner will include advising on criminal justice projects as well as work on developing proposals for US government agencies.

In addition to her experience building prisons, she has taught criminal justice at Indiana University and Purdue University, has delivered several presentations before the American Correctional Association, of which she is an active member, and is a member of the Correctional Accreditation Managers Association and the Indiana Correctional Association.She will be based in Turner’s office in Indianapolis, IN.
